Before you start

Three things you'll want in place before you connect an AI client.

1. The AI add-on

MCP access is included with the AI add-on. See Pricing for plan details.

2. An MCP-compatible AI client

Claude Desktop, ChatGPT (Pro with MCP), or Cursor. Other MCP-compatible clients work too — the standard handles discovery.

3. The right role

Your AI client inherits your Cerbos permissions. If you can do it in the EasyEsuite UI, you can do it from your AI client.

Connect Claude Desktop in under a minute

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Integrations → "Add MCP Server".
Choose "Custom server" and paste this URL:

Click Connect. Your browser opens — sign in with the email you use on EasyEsuite.
Approve the access prompt. You'll be returned to Claude. EasyEsuite tools appear in the sidebar.
Try a prompt like "Show me last week's orders" — Claude will pick the right tool and run it.

Tip: Claude Desktop discovers our OAuth endpoints automatically (RFC 8414). You should NOT have to paste any client ID or secret — if you do, double-check the URL.

ChatGPT Pro

Connect ChatGPT through its MCP plug-in

From your ChatGPT settings → Connectors / Integrations, enable MCP support (currently available on ChatGPT Pro).
Add a new connector and paste:

Authorize in the browser when prompted — sign in with your EasyEsuite email.
Return to ChatGPT. Your EasyEsuite tools are now available in the tool picker.

Tip: ChatGPT's MCP UI is still evolving. If the exact menu names differ in your version, check OpenAI's official MCP docs for the latest wording — the URL stays the same.

Connect Cursor for in-editor ERP actions

Open the Cursor Command Palette and run "MCP: Add Server".
Paste:

Follow the OAuth prompt in your browser. Sign in with EasyEsuite.
Done. Your EasyEsuite tools are available in any Cursor chat — ask "What's on-hand for SKU-456?" right inside your editor.

Tip: Works great when you're prototyping ERP automations from a code editor — Cursor can call EasyEsuite tools and write the surrounding integration code in the same session.

If something goes wrong

Quick fixes for the three most common setup snags.

OAuth login fails or hangs

Confirm your tenant has the AI add-on enabled. Make sure your browser allows redirects from EasyEsuite — and try a private window if you have an existing session in another tenant.

Tools return 403 errors

Your role is missing a permission. Ask a tenant admin to grant the relevant Cerbos role, or sign in as a user who has the right access.

Tools don't appear in my AI client

Reload the AI client after the OAuth window closes. If they still don't show up, remove the server entry and re-add it — the connection refreshes on add.

What is the Model Context Protocol (MCP)?

MCP is an open standard that lets AI clients like Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, and Cursor talk to external systems through a single, well-defined interface. EasyEsuite ships an MCP server so any compatible AI client can run ERP tasks on your tenant — securely, with your real permissions. Learn more at https://modelcontextprotocol.io.

Which permissions does my AI client have?

Exactly the same Cerbos permissions as your EasyEsuite sign-in. If you can't void invoices in the UI, your AI client can't either. Every tool call is gated by the same role checks the app uses.

Can I use this with multiple AI clients at once?

Yes. Each client gets its own OAuth token. Connecting Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, and Cursor side-by-side is fine — they all see the same tools but each session is tracked independently.

How do I disconnect a client?

Remove the EasyEsuite server entry from inside your AI client's settings (Claude Desktop → Settings → Integrations, ChatGPT → Connectors, Cursor → MCP servers). The OAuth session ends as soon as you sign out from the AI client side.

Where does my prompt and data go?

Your prompts and tool results pass through your AI client (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) — we don't proxy them. EasyEsuite only sees the tool calls the AI client makes. See our privacy policy for the full data-flow breakdown.

What can my AI client do once connected?

All the core ERP tasks scoped to your role: create / receive purchase orders, manage inventory and transfers, create sales orders and invoices, record payments, manage customers and vendors, process returns, and more. Each task respects the same validation and audit trail as the equivalent UI action.

What does it cost?

MCP access is included with the AI add-on. See the Pricing page for plan details. There's no per-client surcharge — connect as many AI clients as you need.

Do I need to install anything?

No EasyEsuite-side install. Just install your preferred AI client (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor), add our server URL, and sign in. EasyEsuite stays in the cloud.
